What are "royalty-free" loops?
Royalty-free means that you can use the sounds purchased from samplegod.com in your projects and you owe nothing further. Even if you make a song using our loops and it gets picked up by a major-label and is all over the place, you owe samplegod.com no royalties. Please read the EULA for more information.
What format are downloaded sounds in?
All song loops produced by samplegod.com are available as .wav (loops produced by others may vary...please see individual product for info). This is to increase compatibility with software for both Mac and PC. All loops are rendered at 44,100 kHz, 24-bit stereo and ACIDized™ with needed file information. All files are downloaded as a .zip file which is done for purposes to conserve space and allow for quicker download.
Are your loops mixed and mastered?
No. We minimally pan the drums (snares at 20R, hihat at 25r typically) but do not mix any other aspect of the loops, nor do we master. Any serious musician realizes that if the loops and samples are already mixed and/or mastered, it is going to be very difficult to work them into their own project. Other sites offer loops that are "mastered", but this destroys headroom and forces you, the musician, to fight with EQ and FX in order to wrestle the sample to fit your project's needs. We keep all volumes low and do not normalize files in order to give you the advantage when working with our products. We do take great care to make sure that levels are in check on the final .wav file and that each file will be able to be mixed into your own project.

How do I contact Samplegod.com?
You can either use our contact page, located here, or you can send an e-mail to support@samplegod.com. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response.
How are your sample collections arranged?
We try to avoid "one-shot" samples and construction kits. The reason for this is simple...music is dependant upon the musician. Someone can download construction kits all day, but in the end, you're simply rearranging someone else's music. One shots allow you to compose with the samples, but if you wanted new sounds, you'd just get a VSTi or new hardware. We try to provide samples that are easily manipulated and edited, thus giving you, the musician, more power over your own project. Construction kits allow anyone to compose the same song. We try to offer you more...we try to challenge the musician to find a way to incorporate new samples and sounds into their project, creating a new sound altogether, rather than piecing together the same regurgitated, rehashed samples.
Can I sell my loops/music through Samplegod.com?
At this time, we are not accepting unsolicited material. We are always on the lookout for fresh talent. Please send an e-mail to andrew@samplegod.com with a link to your material if you are interested in selling your loops on the site. Please allow 24-48 hours for a response.
